Gender Inequality

The article explains how toys are separated by gender for kids to purchase. With this separation, is causes a riff in the child's choice to select which toys to play with. The woman in the article describes how the store she went to did not have signs up displaying which toys are where. This article connects with what we spoke about in class because of the inequality that is displayed with life. In the workplace, woman are looked down upon because males are traditionally meant to be the dominant species in society. Women are not supposed to get paid as much, or hold high priority positions in companies. Inequality in the workplace is the most common form of inequality but it is not the only. When it comes to children, they are very easily persuaded which makes the toy subject and the openness very important for them. They are the future and they must understand that we may all look different and are different sexes but we are all able to coexist and deserve to  be equal in all senses of the term.
